Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Hunt Valley, Maryland, seeks a Senior Manager, Controllership Integration to lead the accounting workstreams for a major cross‑company integration with Unilever Foods. This hands‑on role reports to the Director Controllership Integration and will oversee policy conversion, controls design, and coordination with external advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SEC reporting and filing processes.
• Experience supporting M&A integrations.
• Proficiency in US GAAP.
• Ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and influence stakeholders.
• Experience directing external advisors and third-party service providers.
• Strong communication and program management skills.
• Proficiency in IFRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated Accounting lead for the financial integration.
• Oversee corporate accounting workstreams including employee benefit plans, stock compensation, segment reporting, lease accounting.
• Coordinate with external advisors to document technical accounting positions.
• Assess target company policy conversions from US GAAP to IFRS and align to McCormick policies.
• Define target-state processes and controls for sub-workstreams with the Controllership Integration Director.
• Maintain awareness of internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
• Partner with other Controllership leads to ensure consistent treatment across workstreams.
• Maintain coordinated workplans and provide executive level readouts.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and escalation of issues.
