Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D. preferred) from an ABA-accredited school.
• Minimum six years of related experience with 1–2 years in a legal role focusing on contract drafting, due diligence, and commercial transactions.
• Experience in higher education or public agencies is strongly preferred.

• Oversee contract management to ensure alignment with laws, risks, and institutional objectives.
• Support General Counsel on governance, regulatory compliance, and initiatives across the college.

Job description

Under limited direction, the Director, Contracts supports the College's contract management, ensuring agreements align with institutional objectives, applicable laws, and risk management standards. The position supports the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel on governance, regulatory compliance, and organizational initiatives while promoting efficient, consistent, and legally sound contracting practices across the institution.

• Bachelor’s degree in related legal field; Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school is preferred.
• Six years of related experience with one to two years of dedicated legal experience, with an emphasis on contract drafting, due diligence, and commercial transactions. Prior experience working within higher education or a public agency is strongly preferred.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $80,000 (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
