Job summary

Cryoport Systems is seeking a Director of Consulting Services to lead the Consulting Services organization, including Program Management, Validation Engineering, and testing laboratory operations. You will drive revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction while scoping and delivering projects.

This role includes building scalable processes, leading a laboratory setup with ISO 17025/ISTA certifications, and collaborating across Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biopharma, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare or related field preferred; advanced degree/MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible program/project management, client-facing, consulting, operations, or equivalent leadership experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex customer engagements, budgets, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strong Project management training, PMP certification, or equivalent practical project management expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Program Management and Validation Engineering teams to ensure consistent delivery and client focus.

• Establish and reinforce SOPs, tools, templates, KPIs, and project management best practices.
• Lead performance management activities, goal setting, and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to support consulting engagements including product development, shipment validation, testing, and SOP projects.
• Oversee client meetings, kickoff discussions, and project planning sessions.
• Ensure project documentation, client acceptance, and related records are maintained according to SOPs and finance policies.
• Support invoicing, budgeting, pipeline management, and resource planning for projects.
