Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Cancer Center is seeking a Director to provide strategic, scientific, and operational leadership for Colorado's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role leads discovery, translation, clinical, and population research while strengthening collaborations with partner institutions.

The Director will also serve as PI for the Cancer Center Support Grant, align resources, and guide planning for CCSG renewal, ensuring excellence and regional impact.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent) in a cancer-related field.
• Proven record of securing extramural research funding and managing complex, multidisciplinary programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic vision for the CU Cancer Center to reduce cancer burden.
• Provide strategic oversight for Cancer Center research programs and shared resource cores.
• Oversee administrative, financial, and operational components of the Cancer Center.
