NORC at the University of Chicago seeks a Director of Compensation to lead compensation programs organization-wide. You will own the job architecture, develop pay structures, and ensure competitive packages that support recruiting, retention, and engagement.

You will partner with NORC People and business leaders, guiding offers, promotions, and the annual merit cycle while ensuring legal compliance and data-driven insights. The role is hybrid, with two days in Chicago Loop.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CCP certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement compensation strategies: create and manage compensation structures, salary bands, and budgets.
• Advise managers on pay decisions to support engagement and equity.
• Evaluate jobs and maintain job descriptions and classifications.
• Administer and track special pay transactions including bonuses and recognition.
• Conduct market research and participate in compensation surveys to benchmark pay.
• Design and administer base pay structures and incentive programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and minimum wage requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide compensation guidance on offers and promotions.
• Analyze data to monitor pay equity and generate reports for management.
