Dallas County seeks a Director of Community Supervision to provide strategic vision and direction for a large department of ~475 staff and a $42.9M budget. You will work with elected Judges to ensure legal compliance, develop programs, recruit and retain personnel, and lead cross‑agency coordination to advance public safety and rehabilitation efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 8 years in supervision/corrections, 10 years of managerial experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with related field
• Minimum 8 years in community supervision/corrections
• 10 years of progressive managerial experience
• Must obtain Texas CSO certification within one year

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership to the department and staff (~475 employees)
• Develop strategic plans and ensure compliance with laws and orders
• Direct budget administration and cost-control measures
• Coordinate with judges and other agencies for intergovernmental goals
• Hire, train, evaluate and discipline department personnel
