Cuyahoga DD is seeking a department director to develop and execute the Community Development division’s structure, policy, and program implementation. The role includes oversight of the CD and Workforce Development functions, partnerships, and community engagement to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
The position emphasizes staff leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with community partners to advance programs and services.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking a department director to develop and execute Community Development departmental structure, policy, and program implementation. The nature of work will include, but is not limited to the following:
PERSONAL CONTACTS: All Cuyahoga DD staff, administrators, staff of community and provider agencies, families/guardians, and persons receiving services.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Community Development Strategic Analysis Manager, Community Development Specialists, Community Access Specialists, Community Inclusion Specialist and the Administrative Assistant.
SALARY: The salary listed in the header is the base salary for all department directors in Pay Schedule G. It is important to understand that the actual starting salary will be determined based on many factors including the breadth and depth of the knowledge, skills, education and experiences brought by the candidate. Also, it is Cuyahoga DD’s intent to pay each employee a salary that is reasonable and competitive based on the market rate for the position, while also considering not only internal equity but also the budgetary constraints.
Remote Work: There is an onsite expectation for all leadership positions. This position will work a hybrid work schedule that includes some remote work at the direction of the Superintendent. This position is based at our Donzella Administration building.
