Job summary

Prudential is seeking a Director of Communications Intelligence Strategy to lead the intelligence agenda for Communications and translate signals into practical counsel for senior leaders. You will build dashboards, readouts and escalation inputs, and partner across Brand, Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs to strengthen reputation readiness and decision-making.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence on a recurring basis, with guidance from leadership on the exact days.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in communications measurement, reputation intelligence, or related strategy roles.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to synthesize signals into clear implications and counsel senior leaders.
• Experience building intelligence dashboards and readouts for planning and issue readiness.
• Fluency with social listening, media monitoring, AI-enabled tools and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills to guide decisions under ambiguity.

As part of the Strategy & Integration team, the Director, Communications Intelligence Strategy will report to the VP, Insights & Governance and help build a more decision-ready intelligence capability for Communications. This role is well suited for a strategic, curious and analytically minded leader who can connect signals, convene perspectives and translate complex data into clear implications, while serving as a trusted counselor to Communications and enterprise partners. The role will strengthen foresight, issue readiness, narrative choices and enterprise reputation outcomes by helping leaders anticipate issues earlier, understand stakeholder signals more clearly and make sharper communications decisions.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

• Intelligence Strategy: Build the intelligence agenda for Communications, connecting reputation, sentiment, competitive, stakeholder, business and performance signals into a more decision-ready view.
• Foresight and Issue Readiness: Develop early-warning approaches, intelligence readouts and escalation inputs that help leaders anticipate issues, understand stakeholder shifts and prepare more effectively.
• Executive Insight Products: Lead development of dashboards, briefings and insight packages that synthesize complex data into clear implications, narrative choices and key considerations.
• Cross-Functional Signal Integration: Partner with Brand, Investor Relations, People & Experience, Corporate Affairs and business communicators to bring together inputs that improve planning and issue response.
• Analytics Leadership: Guide analytics support and partner with the Manager, Analytics to ensure data quality, dashboard usability and measurement outputs serve senior decision-making.
• Strategic Counsel: Convert signals into practical counsel for the VP, Intelligence and Policies, Head of Strategy & Integration, CCO, SLT partners and broader enterprise teams, strengthening reputation readiness and communications effectiveness.

What you'll need:

• 7-10 years of experience in communications measurement, reputation intelligence, stakeholder research, media analytics, corporate affairs, market research or related strategy roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Data Science, Market Research, Business, Public Affairs or a related field.
• Strong ability to synthesize reputation, sentiment, competitive, business and performance signals into clear implications, counsel and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Experience building intelligence products, dashboards, readouts or early-warning systems that support planning, issue readiness and narrative decision-making.
• Fluency with social listening, media monitoring, stakeholder research, AI-enabled intelligence tools and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present complex signals clearly, convene perspectives and guide decisions under ambiguity.
• Strong analytical judgment, reputation acuity, quality discipline and comfort partnering across Communications, Brand, Investor Relations, People & Experience and Corporate Affairs.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $147,100.00 to $220,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
