Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Director of Commercial Governance & Controls Initiatives to lead risk analysis, trend assessment, and governance program delivery across U.S. Commercial Banking.

You will help design and embed controls, monitor risk indicators, and coordinate with 1LOD/2LOD/3LOD stakeholders to strengthen risk culture and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field.
• Extensive Commercial Banking and Risk Management knowledge.
• Expert program management skills.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across groups.
• Data driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify trends and emerging risks across U.S. Commercial Banking.
• Support execution of governance and control priorities.
• Design and coordinate evidence-based controls across risk types.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on risk indicators to aid management action plans.
• Lead or contribute to regulatory remediation and strategic transformation efforts.
• Coordinate with 1LOD/2LOD/3LOD stakeholders to ensure risk management alignment.
