Job summary

CAI is seeking a Director, Business Development - Commercial Managed Services to drive growth strategies and capture efforts across its CMS portfolio. The role partners with account and delivery leaders to position CAI capabilities and win new and expand existing managed services engagements in multiple industries.

The position is full-time and remote, ideally aligned with EST or CST, and requires travel to client meetings and events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial IT or professional services consulting, business development, capture management, and proposal leadership.
• Understanding of managed services offerings and delivery models and how delivery quality drives retention and expansion.
• Strong knowledge of commercial procurement, including MSAs, SOWs, RFx cycles, renewals, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with client stakeholders across multi-year engagements.
• Strong proposal writing, editing, and review skills; capable of leading win themes and narrative direction.

Responsibilities

• Track IT services buying trends and CMS demand signals across target industries.
• Develop and execute growth strategy across the CMS portfolio, including new logos and expansion.
• Lead conference and event planning for the division and identify speaking opportunities.
• Collaborate with CAI Marketing on thought leadership campaigns and collateral.
• Manage CMS pipeline data, forecasting, and qualification activities.
• Drive renewal and re-compete strategy in partnership with account leadership.
