Zusammenfassung

MAPFRE is seeking a Director of Commercial Lines Actuarial to lead pricing strategy and actuarial analysis across Commercial Auto, BOP, and CPP. The role directs two analysts, collaborates with underwriting, product, finance, and IT, and ensures profitable growth and compliant rate filings.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of actuarial experience, a related degree, and ACAS/FCAS credentials. The position offers hybrid work in Webster/Boston with a strong focus on leadership and stakeholder

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field
• ACAS or FCAS credential required; extensive P&C actuarial pricing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead actuarial analyses and communicate to senior stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytical tools (SQL, SAS, R) required

Aufgaben

• Lead pricing strategy and actuarial analysis for Commercial Auto, BOP, and CPP.
• Evaluate loss and loss adjustment expense trends, expenses, investment income, and rate components.
• Own line-of-business profitability, planning, growth, and rate-impact analysis.
• Develop recommendations for rate changes, coverages, classifications, and rating structures.
• Set priorities and quality standards for rate review and filings; ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate recommendations, risks, and financial impacts to senior management and partners.
• Lead and develop two actuarial analysts; provide coaching and professional development.
