Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a Senior Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Office of College Community Standards (OCCS) to oversee disciplinary and academic standing review processes. This role will implement procedures, delegate casework, and partner with college leadership on educating students.

It also brings expertise in academic integrity and works with University partners to support learning, accountability, and growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Experience in higher education or related field.
• Familiarity with university structure and the functions of its offices and departments.
• Demonstrated commitment to young adults and liberal arts education.

Responsibilities

• Administers the College student disciplinary system and coordinates case management.
• Leads College Area Disciplinary Committee and College Academic Standing Committee meetings.
• Provides training and programming on conduct, academic integrity, and hazing prevention.
• Manages data collection and analysis for misconduct and academic standing trends to inform policy decisions.
• Maintains records using Maxient, AIS, and related systems.
