Job summary

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Director, Flood Risk & Mapping for the Bureau of Coastal Resilience to lead flood risk analysis, data management, and coastal resilience planning.

You will work with DEP bureaus and USACE on major projects, translate complex hydrodynamic results for decision-makers, and guide external consultants to implement forward-looking coastal strategies.

Qualifications

• New York State PE license is required.
• Six years of full-time engineering experience, with executive/administrative duties.
• Experience in coastal hydraulics and flood risk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead flood risk analysis and coastal resilience mapping efforts.
• Oversee data management programs and KPI development.
• Coordinate with DEP bureaus, USACE, and consultants.
