Job summary

Alliance Health is seeking a Director of Data Platform Engineering to lead the design, build, and operation of a modern cloud-based data platform. You will govern strategy, stability, and compliance while migrating legacy EDW assets to a scalable Lakehouse.

This is a remote role requiring NC residency with occasional onsite meetings in Morrisville. You will manage a team including Cloud Data Architects, Engineers, a Data Quality Engineer, and Governance Analyst, driving architecture standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with relevant data platform leadership experience.
• Experience leading enterprise scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure, including data lakehouse or EDW modernization.
• Experience in regulated environments with data security, privacy, and compliance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data platform strategy and roadmap.
• Lead the transition from legacy EDW to a cloud-native Lakehouse and data platform.
• Oversee platform governance, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
