Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in information systems, data analytics, BI, or related tech functions.
• At least 10 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare in regulated life-sciences environments.
• Significant experience leading clinical systems or data platforms.
• Ownership of end-to-end data and analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of clinical-development processes and supporting systems.
• Experience with APIs, ETL, data lakes/warehouses, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and modern analytics tools.
• Direct people-management experience (8+ years).
• Executive communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the clinical data, systems, and analytics strategy.
• Develop roadmaps for clinical platforms, data integration, analytics, and infrastructure.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable solutions across EDC, CTMS, eTMF, and related R&D platforms.
• Oversee clinical data architecture, pipelines, APIs, ETL, cloud platforms, and integrations.
• Partner with Clinical Ops, Data Management, Biostatistics, Quality, IT to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Lead multiple complex programs spanning clinical systems, data engineering, analytics, and process improvement.
• Establish governance, resource plans, budgets, delivery standards, and risk-management practices.
• Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with quality/regulatory standards.
• Build and lead a high-performing organization, including managers and leaders.
• Provide hands-on leadership during initial assessment and buildout.
• Guide solution design and act as a senior data-strategy advisor to R&D teams.
• Work with Quality and Validation to ensure testing, validation, and SDLC execution.
• Maintain data integrity, security, inspection readiness, and compliance across environments.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce cycle times, and scale best practices.
