Job summary

The Aspen Group (TAG) seeks a Director, Clinical Category Management – Goods & Services to drive enterprise-wide sourcing strategy across its brands, including Aspen Dental, WellNow, and others. This leadership role focuses on category transformation, supplier innovation, and cross-brand standardization.

You will lead cost-saving initiatives, build executive-level supplier partnerships, and ensure regulatory compliance while advancing strategic procurement across a multi-site healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 10–15+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement.
• Significant healthcare, dental, or multi-site clinical experience.
• Proven ability to influence executive leadership in a matrixed org.
• Strong financial acumen and spend portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term clinical goods and services strategy across TAG brands.
• Identify enterprise-wide opportunities for standardization, consolidation, and innovation.
• Align category strategies with TAG growth, M&A, and clinical priorities.
• Own and deliver enterprise savings targets and value creation.
• Drive total cost of care optimization beyond unit costs.
• Advise executive leadership across clinical, operations, and finance.
• Lead governance forums for sourcing decisions and category performance.
• Build and manage executive-level supplier relationships.
• Drive strategic partnerships and innovation for joint value creation.
• Lead complex negotiations on enterprise agreements, rebates, and risk-sharing.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing category management team.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
• Develop risk mitigation for critical clinical supply categories.
