Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Clinical Pharmacology in San Diego to lead the design, development, and execution of pharmacology strategies across clinical programs.

You will shape recommendations for dose, regimen, study design, and evidence needs, and provide leadership at key portfolio decisions. The role requires cross-functional collaboration and effective communication with senior management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• PhD or PharmD in Clinical Pharmacology or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant clinical pharmacology experience.
• Experience with PK/PD, biopharmaceutics, and pharmacometrics across multiple development projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical pharmacology strategy across development plans by integrating PK/PD and drug–drug interaction assessments.
• Serve as the senior Clinical Pharmacology representative to project teams and guide dose/regimen choices.
• Design and oversee clinical pharmacology studies (dose escalation, PK/PD) ensuring evidence quality.
• Lead regulatory submissions support (INDs, CTAs, NDAs) and respond to agency questions.
• Develop and author clinical pharmacology documents (protocols, Investigational Brochures, Clinical Study Reports).
• Collaborate with Research, Regulatory, Project Management and other R&D functions to align plans.
