Job description

If you join us, you will work with some of the worlds leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of a new drug.

We are seeking a Global Head of Pharmacokinetic Science Services to lead all scientific, operational, and financial aspects of our global pharmacokinetics function. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee a team of pharmacokineticists and data coordinators across North America, Europe, and South Asia, ensuring high-quality project execution and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction to drive revenue growth, expand service offerings, and improve operational efficiency. As a key scientific representative, you will support client engagement, business development, and cross-functional collaboration while fostering team development and organizational success.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all scientific, operational, and financial aspects of the global pharmacokinetics team, including strategy, revenue growth, and team leadership.
  • Acts as a scientific representative at internal, client, and external meetings, providing expertise on pharmacokinetics processes, data interpretation, and regulatory issues.
  • Supports business development efforts, including proposal input, client presentations, and site visits to foster future revenue and project opportunities.
  • Manages a team of pharmacokineticists and data coordinators, focusing on performance, training, recruitment, and career development.
  • Oversees resource allocation to ensure the profitability, regulatory compliance, and efficiency of pharmacokinetic project execution.
  • Effectively coordinates with stakeholders to ensure satisfactory fulfilment of internal and external client expectations.
  • Visit clients at their sites of business to focus on future business and revenue growth.
  • All other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacokinetics or another relevant Life Sciences discipline required.
  • PhD or MS degree in Pharmacokinetics or related field preferred.
  • Must have an excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • At least 8 years of experience in pharmacokinetic analysis is required, along with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Possess proven knowledge of business and people management practices in a project team environment.

Pay Range:$140,000 - $170,000/annually
