Summary:
Provides leadership for operational and strategic functions that promote positive patient outcomes through the design and execution of education programs for clinical staff. Oversees organizational processes that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for orientation, ongoing education, competency validation, and numerous clinical standards. Influences strategy and executes tactics to drive a culture of continuous learning and development for clinical staff. Serves as the leadership liaison between clinical operational Directors and The Clinical Learning and Development division.
Responsibilities:
* Provides vision and direction for department leaders as they supervise the delivery of orientation and continuing education programs for licensed and unlicensed clinical personnel, ensuring adherence to principles of instructional design and adult learning theory.
* Related responsibilities include:
* Incorporation of new technologies and capabilities into existing programs
* Compliance with regulations for the Texas Nurses Association’s CNE provider-ship
* Consultation/coordination for internal conferences
* Delivery of standardized courses that support early recognition of patient deterioration, basic and advanced life support, and specialty certifications
* Oversees organizational processes for clinical staff competency programs, developing solutions that promote compliance with established standards and requirements.
* Provides clinical consultation for multidisciplinary leadership teams to develop evidence-based strategies for improving quality of care and responding to changing organizational needs.
* Leads and participates on cross-functional teams that address unique organizational issues.
* Collaborates with other clinical and clinical learning leaders to identify priorities and to facilitate strategic growth opportunities.
* Plans and implements growth and development opportunities for leaders, program managers, and individual contributors in the Clinical Learning structure.
How You’ll Be Successful:
Education: Graduate or advanced degree required
Credentials: TX RN license required; Certification in clinical specialty or nursing professional development preferred
Experience:
· At least 7 years clinical nursing experience Required
· At least 5 years leadership experience Required
· At least 3 years clinical learning and development experience Required
