UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO seeks a Director of Clinical Engineering to lead the comprehensive clinical engineering program across the Northern Colorado region. This onsite role focuses on safe device operation, data integration with EHR systems, and strategic technology initiatives.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and a team of biomedical staff, while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety through systematic alarm and device management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 8 years of relevant experience with 3 in leadership.
• Deep knowledge of medical device operations and healthcare IT.
• Ability to develop technology strategies and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across nursing and IT.
• Familiarity with regulatory safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical device lifecycle and support services.
• Oversee device uptime, performance analytics, and data transmission.
• Oversee the budget for clinical engineering and tech projects.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
• Lead evaluation and selection of new biomedical equipment.
• Mentor biomedical staff and promote professional development.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, Joint Commission, and HIPAA.
• Develop enterprise-wide clinical engineering strategies.
• Ensure real-time data flow to EHR and systems.
• Oversee alarm management and device safety.
