Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a Director of Clinical Operations Informatics to lead the integration of informatics into quality and operational improvement across the institution.

The role reports to the Executive Director and shapes enterprise reporting, analytics infrastructure, and data governance to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required; Doctorate preferred.
• Ten years of experience with structured databases, programming, or system analysis, including five years in supervision.
• Ten years information systems or related healthcare experience; CMS reporting metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for informatics integration into quality and operational improvement.
• Oversee enterprise-wide reporting frameworks and analytics infrastructure to ensure data integrity.
• Establish data governance practices, including standardized definitions and metrics.
• Collaborate with leaders to define KPIs and performance dashboards; deliver reports and presentations as needed.
• Lead stakeholders and cross-functional teams to advance data-driven improvement and digital transformation.
