Job summary

Bay State Physical Therapy is seeking a Director of Construction to lead all clinic build-outs, renovations, and related projects across the Northeast. The role partners with internal teams, landlords, consultants, and real estate to deliver welcoming, high-quality spaces that support outstanding patient care.

The position requires 10+ years in construction management, experience with multi-site projects, and the ability to coordinate complex schedules while maintaining budgets and quality.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in construction management.
• Experience supporting multi-site organizations (retail/healthcare/fitness).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Strong judgment, integrity, and professional standards.
• Able to work some weekends/evenings and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of construction projects: design, budget, permits, contracts, reporting, delivery.
• Collaborate with real estate, operations, developers, and contractors to evaluate opportunities, scope, budget and schedule.
• Implement tracking mechanisms to update senior management and document key decisions and risks.
• Review schedule and budget; resolve project issues.
• Lead procurement and bidding for general contractors; negotiate terms.
• Conduct site visits to ensure work meets standards.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans for clinics.
