Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Director, Client Solutions to lead regional sales within the IT security sector, hiring and allocating resources, conducting reviews, and serving as a player-coach to solve complex problems with cross-functional teams.

You will guide the Solutions Architecture team on sales strategies, manage quotas and budgets, and partner with Sales to develop account plans. This senior role requires 5+ years in pre- or post-sales IT security and strong leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales capacity within an IT security environment.
  • 5+ years of security experience in Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems, DLP, SIEM, Application security, Web security.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements: PCI, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA.
  • Proven track record of managing technical personnel.
  • Ability to lead and mentor, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify resources and develop a proposed budget for Senior Management review.
  • Keep Senior Management informed of key issues that may impact results.

  • Use the sales process to develop account plans with Sales.

Job description

The Director, Client Solutions will hire and allocate resources, conduct employee reviews and evaluations, participate in strategic deals, and support team members as needed to grow the regional business. This individual will serve as a player-coach, actively working with team members to solve complex problems and coordinating corporate and external resources when required.

The Director, Client Solutions will support the Solutions Architecture team by providing guidance on sales strategies and approaches to solving specific problems.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Participate in quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions with the Sales Management team to create a local sales plan that drives revenue.

What we’re looking for

  • Five or more years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales capacity within an IT security environment.
  • Five or more years of security experience in all of the following areas:FirewallIntrusion Prevention SystemsData Loss PreventionSecurity Information and Event ManagementApplication securityWeb security
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the following areas:Payment Card IndustryGramm-Leach-Bliley ActSarbanes-Oxley ActHealth Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
  • Proven track record of managing technical personnel.
  • Ability to gain the cooperation of others through leadership, mentoring, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, Account Managers, and management.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who does not require day-to-day management.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region.

Salary Range Description

$157,000.00 - $213,000.00 Annual

The Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.
