Job summary

Corona-Norco Family YMCA seeks a Director of Child and Youth Development to lead the CYD Office and field operations, overseeing roughly 10 childcare sites and a team of 100+ staff. You will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive program quality.

You'll collaborate with licensing, state agencies, and community partners to expand services while maintaining fiscal stewardship and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, nonprofit management, business, or social services.
• Title 5 Program Director Permit – required.
• Understanding of State 5 contracts/regulation and funding terms and conditions.
• Title 22 Supervisor Qualifications.
• Strong business operations background.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally.
• Proven communication skills, including written and verbal, and public speaking ability.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive management experience with sustained operational growth in a YMCA or nonprofit setting.
• Experience managing complex teams.
• Experience managing budgets of over $5 million.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages all aspects of assigned Child Care Sites, Transportation Dept., including van runs, problem resolution, the CACFP grant and full program, additional food grant programming, the Nutrition Department, staff recruitment and development within those departments.
• Oversees approximately 10 childcare sites for growing infants through school age children (500+ children).
• Oversees eligibility and enrollment.
• Ensures compliance with California State Licensing and Title 5/Title 22 regulations and full compliance with State Grants.
• Oversees contracts with CDSS, CDE and CACFP, and fee-based childcare.
• Oversees a 10-million-dollar budget.
• Communicates with licensing analysts and state program consultants.
• Represents and promotes the YMCA within assigned service area and community events.
• Assists in the development and management of the CYD budget to meet or exceed targets.
• Provides leadership and support to directors and supervisors to ensure financial and operational targets are met.
• Supervise the hiring, training, development and supervision of 100+ staff members.
• Provides high-level oversight including volunteer management and development, community relations, communications, and marketing.
