Job summary

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine seeks a Fellowship Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to oversee the accredited fellowship program. The role includes administration, education, scholarship, and clinical supervision to residents and fellows within the Department of Psychiatry.

The incumbent will lead program governance, mentor trainees, and coordinate curriculum while ensuring compliance with ACGME standards and SCRIHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with leadership experience.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois.
• Meets Fellowship Program Director qualifications per ACGME guidelines.
• Sensitive to needs of underrepresented minority populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight to maintain an accredited fellowship program.
• Direct fellowship recruitment and supervise fellows.
• Develop and implement fellowship curriculum and coordinate experiences.
• Mentor residents and supervise teaching activities in rounds, conferences and seminars.
• Engage in scholarly activities and ensure SCRIHS compliance.
