Job summary

Morgan Stanley Baltimore seeks a Director on the Central Data Team within Operations Risk & Regulatory Control (ORRC) to translate strategy into execution by establishing governance routines, improving data quality and lineage, and enabling automation and AI.

You will work closely with Silo Data Leads, Technology, the central Transformation team, and ORRC Data Strategy to coordinate delivery, standardize reusable patterns, and move teams from tactical files to certified, well-controlled data

Qualifications

• Five+ years in data management, governance, or operational risk within financial services.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional delivery and governance routines.
• Ability to lead by example and present to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex processes and support significant process management or project efforts.
• Lead process improvement, project management, or technology development across multiple teams.
• Analyse complex issues, identify risks, and propose actions through to resolution.
• Build relationships with business partners and other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments.
• Implement governance frameworks and control routines aligned with firm standards.
• Manage the regional Opportunities Backlog and coordinate sequencing with partners.
• Drive data quality, lineage, and access controls to support automation and AI.
• Coordinate delivery with Silo Data Leads and Technology to share reusable assets.
• Publish documentation, dashboards, and progress reports to stakeholders.
