Job summary

University of Washington seeks a Director for the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research (CGIDR) within the Department of Pediatrics to lead research strategy, administration, and program development. Qualifications

• MD or DO or foreign equivalent required.
• PhD in a health-related field or foreign equivalent acceptable.
• Physicians must be licensed and eligible for licensure in Washington.
• Ten years prior experience leading an extramurally funded research program.
• Academic record sufficient to warrant Associate Professor or Professor appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research (CGIDR).
• Oversee program administration in support of SCRI, CGIDR, and affiliated units.
• Recruit and develop faculty and maintain state-of-the-art infrastructure.
• Foster partnerships across the organization to advance infectious disease research and patient care.
• Drive fundraising and diversify funding for CGIDR.

Education

MD or DO or foreign equivalent
