Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Head of Cell Line Development (Director) to define CLD vision, platform strategy, and roadmap aligned to portfolio demand. You will lead a team of ~10 scientists, oversee budgets, timelines, and vendor governance for clinical cell line delivery.

Responsibilities include end-to-end mammalian cell line development, ensuring fit-for-purpose characterization for filings, and maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• Expert in CLD delivering clinical production cell lines and tech transfer packages.
• Deep expertise in cell biology, host cell engineering, and vector design.
• Experience with regulatory/quality requirements for CLD programs.

Responsibilities

• Define CLD vision and platform strategy aligned to portfolio needs.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~10 scientists.
• Own functional budget, cell line timelines, and vendor governance.
• Oversee mammalian cell line development: vector design, transfection, cloning, screening, stability.
• Ensure fit-for-purpose characterization packages for filings and QA.
• Lead adoption of automation and analytics within CLD.
• Foster external collaborations with tech providers and partners.
