Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Director for Celerity’s pricing center to lead complex pricing engagements and scale pricing methodologies. You will guide analytics, oversee teams, and drive client discussions across industries to improve revenue performance.

Based in a hybrid model, you’ll partner with Bain’s Pricing Center of Excellence and Celerity leadership to deliver high-impact pricing solutions and strategic insights for executive audiences.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will join Celerity, a fast-growing business within Bain & Company focused on delivering high-impact pricing and commercial strategy engagements. You will work closely with Celerity leadership and Bain’s Pricing Center of Excellence to lead pricing projects across industries and client contexts.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a Director within Celerity, you will lead complex pricing engagements that help clients improve revenue performance and commercial effectiveness. You will oversee pricing analyses, guide consulting teams, lead client discussions, and help scale Celerity’s pricing methodologies, tools, and delivery capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead pricing projects, including scoping workstreams, structuring analyses, overseeing execution, and driving client deliverables
• Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into pricing strategy recommendations and executive-level insights
• Manage and coach Expert Pricing Consultants and broader pricing teams
• Lead client discussions, workshops, and presentations
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across pricing, finance, sales, and sales operations functions
• Contribute to scalable methodologies, tools, automation initiatives, and pricing intellectual property development

ABOUT YOU

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in pricing strategy and revenue optimization
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Experience leading pricing or commercial strategy engagements
• Experience managing analysts, consultants, or distributed teams
• Strong communication and presentation capabilities
• Ability to connect pricing analytics to broader commercial strategy decisions
• Demonstrated ability to structure complex pricing problems and translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations
• Experience leading client updates and stakeholder discussions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of consulting pricing experience
• Professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
• Prior business consulting experience
• Strong proficiency in analytics, data manipulation, and visualization tools
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
• Experience working with large commercial transaction datasets

WORK MODEL / TRAVEL

This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least three days per week. Travel requirements may vary based on client and business needs.

U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION

• Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
• Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
• In Dallas, Austin, and Houston, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $163,250 - $195,750
• In Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, DC, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $178,750 - $214,500
• In New York, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $194,250 - $233,250
• In Atlanta, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $155,500 - $186,500
• Annual discretionary performance bonus
• This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
• 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
