Job summary

Jack Link's seeks a Director of Category Management to transform category management into a strategic growth engine. You will lead a team of Category Managers and Analysts, delivering best-in-class insights, shelving strategies, and customer engagement models to drive mutual growth.

You will elevate data usage and shopper insights to influence decisions and secure Category Captain/Advisor roles with key accounts, while building governance and scalable analytics for consistent impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business-related field.
• 10+ years in CPG analytics, category management, shopper insights, or sales.
• 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven experience as Category Captain/Advisor/Validator with key customers.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint with data-to-insights translation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Category Captainships, Advisor, and Validator relationships.
• Own and expand roles across priority customers to position the company as a category authority.
• Develop customer-specific category strategies based on shopper, consumer, and market insights.
• Lead joint business planning inputs for assortment, shelving, pricing, and promotions.
• Establish governance for engagement and ensure high-quality delivery across customer interactions.
• Partner with Sales to identify opportunities to deepen influence and unlock growth.
• Execute Gold Standard Plan-O-Grams and data-driven shelving solutions.
• Lead development of data-driven insights to influence decisions and strengthen credibility.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, RGM, and Insights to align on category priorities.
• Build scalable analytics/reporting frameworks to improve speed and impact.
