Job summary

Columbia University, Columbia Business School, is seeking an Associate Director, Career Education and Advising to design and deliver career education programs and provide one-on-one and small-group advising and coaching for MBA, MS, PhD students and alumni.

The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, employers, and internal partners and demonstrate excellent presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills to advance career outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of related experience.
• MBA or master’s degree in counseling or higher education preferred.
• Strong program and project management skills with demonstrated relationship development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver career education and professional development programs.
• Lead large-scale industry and networking events with schools and employer partners.
• Provide one-on-one and small group executive coaching and career advising.
• Track job-seeking outcomes and analyze employment trends for stakeholders.
• Develop newsletters and update online resources for student job searches.
• Cultivate relationships with alumni, students and recruiters for employer outreach.
