Upgrade, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Director to lead Card Credit R&D and Growth Initiatives in a hybrid role based in Wilmington or San Francisco.

You will drive strategic initiatives, build business cases, and partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable, responsible growth for our Credit Card business. The role demands strong data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable plans that accelerate customer growth while protecting

Qualifications

• 7+ years in consumer finance, consulting, or data-driven roles.
• Experience with credit risk and cards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, white-space problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide credit risk leadership, policy design, and support to launch prioritized strategic initiatives.
• Lead enhanced scale in Affinity Segments and expansion into new customer segments.
• Support marketing initiatives with credit risk interactions.
• Identify and pursue new growth opportunities and develop a forward-looking growth agenda.
• Evaluate opportunities, propose tests, and build business cases for future card growth.
• Combine test results with market data to deliver responsible growth and scalable policies.
• Track initiative performance and report results to leadership.
