Upgrade, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Director to lead Card Credit R&D and growth initiatives, driving high-impact projects that expand our credit card business. You will use data to build business cases, develop scalable plans, and partner across functions to deliver results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in consumer finance, consulting, or data-driven roles.
• Deep experience with consumer lending/credit risk, especially in cards.
• Data-driven problem solving and strong business intuition.
• Excellent communication and ability to simplify complexity.

Responsibilities

• Provide credit risk leadership, policy design, and support to launch strategic initiatives.
• Develop business cases, tests, and scale plans for growth in Card products.
• Partner cross-functionally and report results to leadership.
• Track performance and identify opportunities to enhance and sustain growth.
• Test cash flow underwriting use-cases and develop scalable policies.
• Contribute to defenses against misuse and fraud in credit underwriting.
• Lead collaboration across teams to implement and scale initiatives.
