Peraton is seeking a Director of Capture Management to lead strategic opportunities in the Space domain. You will shape winning strategies, guide cross-functional teams, and drive partnerships to win high-value contracts.

The role requires extensive capture leadership, a deep understanding of federal procurement, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance. You will coordinate with program management and solution architects to achieve growth targets.

Qualifications

  • 16+ years of experience in capture management, including a minimum of 5 years of full life cycle capture management experience.
  • Track record of growth supporting Space Force/Space Command/NRO environments.
  • Knowledge of complex solutions: advanced data analytics, agile software development, and high-end systems engineering and integration.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial partner relationships with peers and other vendors.
  • Strong business acumen; thorough understanding of Federal procurement, contracting, and financial regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose client needs and close solutions with measurable business impact.
  • Outstanding strategic selling skills including discovery, ROI development and presentation, and closing.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to coordinate the sales cycle.
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance disclosed as required.

  • Lead the development and execution of winning strategies for opportunities >$200M, including win themes, campaigns, customer analysis, competition analysis, and teaming partner selection.
  • Cultivate key business relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain knowledge of government marketplace developments to position the company effectively.
  • Recommend strategic changes to improve outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate bid risks and keep leadership informed.
  • Ensure winning offers and solution sets (technical/management, price-to-win, schedule, past performance) are developed.
  • Manage communications with partners/subcontractors and coordinate with Business Development.
  • May lead teams to develop and deliver proposals, whitepapers, demos, and other capture-focused outputs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an ambitious Capture Director with demonstrated success in capturing new business particularly in Space Force/Space Command/NRO environment. As a key member of our Space Sector, you will provide leadership, critical thought, and a strategic mindset to winning business opportunities. You will partner with program management teams, solution architects, and functional leadership to develop winning strategies, solutions, and proposals. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals.

  • Lead the development and execution of winning strategies for opportunities >$200M, including strategic win themes, marketing campaigns and call plans, customer analysis, competitive analysis, solution and gap analysis, and the recruiting and selection of teaming partners within DIA/NGA/NRO environment.
  • Cultivate key business relationships, with a primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the current developments in the government marketplace to assess the position of company and determines how to improve it.
  • Make recommendations for change or modification to strategy.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bid, and keep leadership advised when new bid risks are encountered, or mitigation plans fail to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure the development of a winning offer and solution sets (e.g., technical/management, price-to-win, schedule, past performance)
  • Manage communications and relationships with partners and subcontractors, coordinating customer communications and relationships with Business Development.
  • May lead teams to develop and deliver various professional services solutions to include whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals, and other internally developed products used to identify, qualify, and capture new business.
  • Participate in trade shows and other industry events as appropriate

  • Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills in coordinating the sales cycle
  • Establish, build, and maintain positive, professional relationships and interaction at all decision levels
  • Maintain a highly credible and professional profile within the industry
  • Ability to communicate issues, concerns, and problems in a solution-oriented manner
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
