Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in Chemical and/or Refining industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with a rigorous project stage-gate process.
• Demonstrated change-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Adherence to safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional groups.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Lead resourcing, staffing, subcontract management, progress reporting and people management.
• Create and implement a comprehensive capital project portfolio execution strategy including schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to vet projects, schedules, financials, and safety impacts for alignment.
• Identify systematic opportunities and drive portfolio and project execution improvements.
• Ensure governance for program/project funding and execution is met.
• Successfully manage and execute capital projects across the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project execution strategy for schedule, budget, procurement, resources, quality, risks and communication.
• Identify risk factors and develop plans to monitor and control risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate project administration to optimize resources and objectives.
• Lead major projects through definition, team assembly, and funding as needed.
• Validate scope and execution plans prior to funding approvals and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Confirm project objectives during closeout and document lessons learned.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the capital projects team.
• Communicate with Operations Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team on project objectives.
