Job summary

William & Mary is seeking an Associate Director of Capital Budgeting & Financial Planning to lead the university’s capital budgeting and FP&A activities. You will manage capital outlay budgets, debt financing for projects, and the HEETF program, partnering with executive leadership to align resources with priorities.

This role requires deep capital finance expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop models and tools for long-range planning.

Qualifications

Experience in university finance and budget with capital construction budgeting.
Strong analytical skills to analyze complex information and produce reports.
Ability to interpret legislative requirements and policies affecting capital projects.
Proficiency in budgeting and advanced financial analysis using automated systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee capital budgeting and university-wide FP&A.
Lead capital outlay budget, debt financing, and HEETF program.
Develop tools and models to guide resource allocation.
Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies and priorities.
Provide forecasting and multi-year budgeting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
Manage treasury planning for capital activities, including cash flow forecasting.
Ensure regulatory compliance with Commonwealth requirements and reporting.
Advise senior leadership with actionable insights and financial strategies.
