Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive EHS management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and occupational safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Georgia regulations.
• Manage hazardous materials, chemical safety, laboratory safety, and hazardous waste disposal programs.
• Conduct campus-wide safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
• Develop and maintain written safety plans and regulatory documentation.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety and environmental compliance training.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and emergency responders.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and incident response.
• Collaborate with Facilities Management, Public Safety, and Risk Management.
• Prepare safety reports and compliance metrics.
