About the Company
We’re partnering with an established, high-growth fintech that provides businesses with a modern SaaS platform for managing payments.
As the company continues to scale, it is investing in the technology, integrations and data infrastructure that power its commercial teams. Its go-to-market environment brings together CRM, marketing automation, conversation intelligence, telephony and contact-centre platforms, all operating alongside a modern cloud data stack.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who can create a scalable, reliable and well-governed Business Systems function while ensuring the technology continues to support day-to‑day commercial performance.
About the Opportunity
As Director, Business Systems, you will own the strategy, architecture and execution of the systems, integrations and processes supporting the company’s go‑to‑market operations.
You will lead a small team of Business Systems professionals, including a Salesforce Developer and GTM Analyst, while partnering closely with Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Data.
This is not a purely strategic leadership position. You will remain close to the technology, acting as the business‑side architect for Salesforce, guiding integration and release decisions, translating business requirements into executable work and holding the team accountable for delivery.
The role would suit an experienced Business Systems or GTM Technology leader who combines strong technical judgement with pragmatic leadership and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Business Systems and GTM technology strategy.
- Own the Salesforce architecture, data model, process design and change governance.
- Lead the SFDX‑based CI/CD and Salesforce release‑management process.
- Manage and develop a Salesforce Developer and GTM Analyst, setting priorities and maintaining accountability for delivery.
- Translate commercial requirements into clear technical specifications, workflows and system improvements.
- Own and optimise integrations across Salesforce, HubSpot and the wider GTM technology ecosystem.
- Provide governance across conversation intelligence, sales engagement, dialler and contact‑centre platforms.
- Oversee the integration layer connecting Salesforce REST APIs with the company’s internal platform, partnering with Engineering on its continued development.
- Work alongside the Data team to improve commercial reporting, marketing attribution and funnel visibility.
- Establish meaningful KPIs, dashboards and operating standards across the function.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, consent management, security and system reliability.
- Evaluate new technologies and AI‑enabled tools with a focus on simplicity, scalability and total cost of ownership.
- Act as the senior day‑to‑day decision‑maker for Business Systems, removing bottlenecks and enabling faster execution.
- At least seven years’ experience across Business Systems, GTM Technology, Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations or a closely related discipline.
- Direct, hands‑on ownership of both Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Strong Salesforce administration and architecture experience, including data models, process design and connected applications.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines, release management and change governance, ideally within an SFDX environment.
- A track record of managing and developing technical or operational individual contributors.
- Strong understanding of GTM data flows, lifecycle management, lead routing, attribution and integration patterns.
- Experience translating business requirements into clear technical documentation and deliverable work.
- Sufficient technical depth to assess architecture, lead integration decisions and challenge developers constructively.
- Experience working with modern data platforms, reporting environments and business‑intelligence tools.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Data and Engineering.
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
- The confidence to make decisions independently in a fast‑moving and commercially focused organisation.
- Experience with Gong, Orum or comparable GTM platforms.
- Exposure to Snowflake, dbt, Power BI or an equivalent modern data stack.
- Knowledge of OneTrust or another consent‑management platform.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or PostHog.
- Experience managing REST API integrations.
- Exposure to internally developed .NET applications or integration services.
- Experience evaluating or implementing AI‑enabled automation and productivity tools.
