Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Director, Business Excellence Lead, CML to drive strategic, operational, and business planning initiatives across functions at the East Hanover, NJ or Cambridge, MA sites. This role requires 20% domestic/international travel and will report to the General Manager.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in pharma/biotech with strong cross-functional leadership, a proven ability to translate strategy into action, and exceptional storytelling for investor reviews and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required in relevant area; MBA is preferred.
• 8+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or healthcare consulting including at least 2 cross-functional roles/experience.
• 2+ years in project management and translating strategy into execution.
• 2+ years leading complex projects requiring global and local alignment.
• Minimum 5+ years commercial experience, preferably with multi-functional experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
• Demonstrated strategic acumen and strong analytical skills to generate insights and action plans.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and tell a compelling story orally and in writing.
• Curious with excellent listening skills and a track record of exceptional performance and execution

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, operational, and business planning recommendations/plans to GM.
• Lead integration of product insights from multiple functions to prioritize impactful actions.
• Lead preparations for impact reviews with stakeholders across local/global landscape.
• Lead creation of investor relations package and narrative for assigned products.
• Lead large cross-functional strategic projects to improve operational efficiency and impact for patients.
• Run the Product Core Team leadership including setting priorities, agendas, and follow-ups.
• Partner with finance and insights/analytics to identify criteria for resource allocation decisions.
• Ensure alignment to and ownership of NPC policies, including Code of Conduct and laws/regulations.
