Job Summary

To support our exceptional team in Global Services and Solutions that build outstanding Value-Added Fulfilment and Circular Economy supply chain solutions to contribute to our growth, we are seeking to hire a Director Business Development, preferably based near one of our GSS locations in Europe, but also able to work remotely.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Account Management, the Director Business Development will be in charge of qualifying new customers, developing relationships and business with them, and achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned individual and team targets. It is an individual contributor role.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Develop new strategic alliances with key customers.
  • Research and recognize customers' business strategies, future product plans, and expansion activities, aligning Flex resources to be mutually beneficial.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team and the Finance Department to control budgets within the department.
  • Assist current accounts in developing and executing product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex's solutions, including concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services hold-up, and reverse logistics.
  • Represent Flex Ways of Working when interacting with internal & external contacts.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
  • 5+ years of experience in Forward/Reverse Logistics, Repair, Refurb, Circular Economy, or other related services.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, or business.
  • Experience in progressively advancing account management and/or business development roles.
  • Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
  • Knowledge of strategic selling techniques.
  • Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L statements, balance sheets, ROI indicators, and take actions to meet customer needs and Flex targets.
  • Ability to successfully influence senior management, executives, and key clients.
  • Experience building relationships while working directly with customers.
  • Willingness to travel (~30%) and work non-traditional hours to coordinate with sites across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
