Job description

Life changing therapies. Global impact. Bridge to thousands of biopharma companies and their patients.

We are PCI.

Our investment is in People who make an impact, drive progress and create a better tomorrow. Our strategy includes building teams across our global network to pioneer and shape the future of PCI.

Position Overview

This position represents a precision capability insertion aligned to PCI's next phase of commercial maturity in the Advanced Drug Delivery (ADD) space. As part of a strategic expansion of commercial capability, this role is designed to accelerate growth within injectable device assembly by enhancing pipeline quality, improving Phase III capture rates, and strengthening PCI's ability to secure integrated clinical-to-commercial programs.

Position Mission

The primary objective is to increase PCI's share of high-value injectable device programs by influencing device strategy earlier in the product lifecycle. This role will serve as a targeted overlay resource focused on engaging device teams within pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical organizations developing injectable therapies.

Strategic Pillars
  • Engage earlier at the Phase III inflection point where outsourcing decisions solidify
  • Position PCI as an integrated drug-device partner rather than a downstream assembler
  • Improve pipeline quality by targeting programs with clear commercial pathways
  • Strengthen cross-segment pull-through across D&M, CTS, and Commercial operations
  • Increase award size through integrated solution positioning
  • Expand lifecycle revenue durability via strategically positioned device relationships
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development

  • Drive new business and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with territory sales counterparts
  • Influence device strategy early in the product lifecycle to shape integrated outsourcing decisions
Technical & Relationship Management
  • Partner with Business Development during client engagement to elevate technical credibility and demonstrate integrated capabilities
  • Support integrated solution packaging including scope definition, timeline development, and delivery model optimization
  • Maintain deep knowledge of PCI's service offerings, industry technology trends, and competitor capabilities in the ADD space
Client Engagement & Opportunity Management
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with injectable platform teams within pharma and biopharma organizations
  • Target combination product innovators and late-stage clinical programs progressing toward commercialization
  • Support customer site visits in coordination with Business Development
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibits, clinical seminars, and professional organizations to build market presence
  • Support bid-defense preparation and strategic positioning for high-value opportunities
Target Market Focus

This role will focus on account-agnostic hunting within:

  • Injectable platform teams within pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical organizations

To maintain clarity and protect existing client relationships, this position is explicitly NOT designed to:

  • Serve as the account owner or replace Business Development leadership initially
  • Establish or manage device supplier relationships
  • Operate as traditional technical sales execution or independently submit RFP responses

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce experience strongly preferred)
  • Full professional proficiency: ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs
  • High reasoning ability: capacity to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; ability to interpret instructions provided in various forms
