Job summary

The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an open-rank, tenured or tenure-track faculty position to serve as the Director of the UCSB Brain Imaging Center (BIC). The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for a state-of-the-art core facility.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./M.D. or equivalent in Psychological and Brain Sciences or a discipline related to use of neuroimaging technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership in a research program and experience with functional/neuroimaging methods.
• Record of securing external funding and mentoring students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UCSB Brain Imaging Center (BIC) as director with strategic and operational oversight.
• Develop and sustain an active, funded research program in human neuroscience.
• Teach at undergraduate/graduate levels and mentor students within the department.
