Penn State University invites applications for a tenure-line Associate or Full Professor in Biomechanics and Biorobotics and for the role of Director of the Center for Movement Science and Technology (C‑MOST) within the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. Start date anticipated Fall 2027.

The successful candidate will lead C‑MOST, build interdisciplinary partnerships across Penn State, and advance a bold research program at the intersection of biology, movement, engineering, and robotics.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, robotics, neuroscience, medicine, or a closely related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Develop and advance a compelling vision for C‑MOST and create opportunities for collaboration among researchers, engineers, clinicians, and external partners.
• Lead the Center for Movement Science and Technology (C‑MOST) as a platform for interdisciplinary discovery and technology development.
• Build research programs that integrate movement, biology, engineering, robotics, medicine, rehabilitation, and human performance while mentoring students and faculty.
