Job summary

Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit seeks a Director of Behavioral Health Services to provide daily leadership over the Behavioral Health Services program, including clinical quality, fiscal performance, operations, and personnel management.

The director will supervise Behavioral Health Supervisors, work with agency leadership, and help develop provider networks to strengthen services in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive program management and leadership in behavioral health services.
• Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) or equivalent clinical licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for recruitment, hiring, coaching, and evaluation of staff; supervise Behavioral Health Supervisors and Operations Manager.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality behavioral health services, including standards, access, capacity, documentation, and continuity of care.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload of 5–8 clients as appropriate; ensure ethical and compliant practice.
• Monitor program budget, revenue trends, and funder requirements; support fiscal sustainability.
• Oversee grants from implementation to reporting, including coordination with finance and program staff.
