Job summary

Idaho Youth Ranch seeks a Director of Behavioral Health Systems and Quality to provide strategic leadership across Behavioral Health operations and the QA program. This role oversees clinical risk, quality assurance, and EHR initiatives to ensure high‑quality, mission‑driven care for Idaho youths and families.

The position directs the EHR platform, trains staff through Learning & Development, and partners with cross-functional teams for accreditation and improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, behavioral health, public health, business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare operations, or a closely related field.
• Experience overseeing quality assurance, compliance, or risk management functions in a clinical setting.
• Working knowledge of EHR systems and clinical technology platforms; experience leading or participating in EHR implementation or optimization preferred.
• Familiarity with behavioral health regulatory frameworks including Medicaid, Joint Commission, and Idaho state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and strategic direction to the Clinical Risk and QA team, ensuring quality review processes are rigorous, timely, and actionable.
• Lead the EHR team in maintenance, optimization, and strategic development of Idaho Youth Ranch’s electronic health record platform.
• Supervise the Learning & Development Manager, supporting the development and execution of a comprehensive training strategy for Behavioral Health staff.
• Develop and maintain reporting capabilities that translate operational data into meaningful insights for clinical and executive decision-making.
• Represent Behavioral Health Operations in cross-functional Idaho Youth Ranch initiatives including strategic planning, accreditation, and organizational quality efforts.
