Job summary

DePaul University in Chicago seeks a Director, Development for Athletics to lead front-line fundraising for the Mission Forward campaign, managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and guiding annual giving and external engagement including events and stewardship.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and about 5+ years in fundraising or related field, with strong relationship-building, CRM experience (Salesforce preferred), and the ability to travel for donor meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with fundraising CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Background in fundraising, business development, alumni relations or related fields encouraged.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends for events.

Responsibilities

• Donor cultivation, solicitation and pipeline development.
• Develop fundraising strategies aligned with Athletics Plan goals.
• Stewardship program including events and impact reports.
• Represent Athletics at external functions and university initiatives.
• Supervise one role and oversee annual giving and stewardship.
