Job summary

Santa Barbara City College seeks a senior administrator to lead EOPS, CARE, CalWORKs, NextUp and related programs, driving recruitment, orientation, counseling and financial aid services for at‑risk students. You will supervise staff, coordinate outreach, and manage complex budgets and grants.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required and leadership experience related to administration.
  • Two years of experience managing educational programs or related disadvantaged groups.
  • Six college-level units in coursework related to minorities or disadvantaged groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct EOPS, CARE, CalWORKs, NextUp and related programs to recruit, retain and ensure student success.
  • Coordinate communications, services and outreach to provide opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged students.
  • Supervise certificated and classified staff; interview, select and manage personnel.
  • Develop outreach and marketing strategies to increase program visibility and participation.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, grants and funding; monitor expenditures and prepare proposals.
  • Prepare state-m mandated reports and other program reports for college and external agencies.
  • Collaborate with administrators and external organizations to build resources for at-risk students.
