Job description

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies focused on Army IT modernization, cybersecurity, and digital transformation opportunities.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key Army stakeholders, program offices, and industry partners.
  3. Lead capture teams in pursuing strategic opportunities, including developing win strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing approaches.
  4. Generate qualified pipeline opportunities through market research, customer engagement, and industry networking.
  5. Oversee proposal development efforts, including solution development, pricing strategies, and compliance reviews.
  6. Achieve assigned revenue goals and maintain accurate opportunity forecasting through CRM system.
  7. Mentor and develop junior BD staff while collaborating across delivery, operations, and corporate teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in federal business development, with at least 5 years focused on Army programs.
  3. Proven track record of capturing large ($50M+) federal contracts.
  4. Deep understanding of Army IT modernization initiatives, acquisition processes, and contracting vehicles.
  5. Strong network of Army relationships and understanding of Army organizational structure.
  6. Experience with capture management, proposal development, and price-to-win strategies.
  7. Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
  8. Maintain or obtain PMP certification within 6 months of hire.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience with CHESS ITES IDIQ (or similar DoD) contract vehicle a strong plus.
  2. PMP Certification highly desired (required within 6 months of hire).
  3. ITIL Certification a strong plus.
