Job Description

Job Summary

The Director of Applications designs, develops, and communicates technology models and foundations that support applications, data, and infrastructure for business processes. This role applies key principles such as stability, scalability, performance, security, compatibility, and reusability, balancing tactical and strategic solutions. The director considers end-to-end business problems—including people, processes, and technology—within and outside the enterprise, promoting industry and enterprise technology standards. They monitor emerging technologies for potential application and ensure adherence to design, development standards, and governance frameworks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Establishes and manages key performance metrics, developing strategies to meet corporate objectives.
• Serves as a mentor, coach, and leader for application design, development, and support teams.
• Collaborates with project teams to ensure the success of systems like the Health Performance Assessment System.
• Leads the evolution of application development practices within Molina.
• Works closely with business and IT teams to deliver certifiable Medicaid Management Information Systems solutions.
• Coordinates with EPMO and business stakeholders to manage priorities, delivery, and expectations.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: Graduate degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience: 7-9 years in application design, development, management, healthcare industry
Preferred Experience: 10+ years in healthcare, AI data integration, membership and claims applications, Azure Databricks, Python, Spark, QNXT
Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Technology, Mobility, ITIL
