This role offers a rare chance to build something from the ground up at a leading market intelligence company. As Director of API & Integrations, you will own the access layer through which Euromonitor’s trusted, proprietary data reaches enterprise clients, partners and AI systems—programmatically, at scale. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, define the strategy, ship the roadmap and establish API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) access as a first‑class product line.

The timing matters. Enterprise buyers increasingly expect data to reach them inside their own workflows—BI tools, data warehouses and AI assistants like Microsoft Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT. You will make Euromonitor’s cross‑category global data available through well‑governed, commercially aligned interfaces that are easy to integrate and easy to build agents upon.

This is a newly created, highly visible role that will grow into a dedicated API & Ecosystem team spanning developer experience, partner integrations, agentic/MCP access and usage monetisation.

What You’ll Do

• Own the product: define the vision and roadmap for Euromonitor’s API and MCP ecosystem, decide which data domains and endpoints to expose, and run the operating rhythm with Engineering scrum teams.
• Champion developer experience: treat developers and AI agents as first‑class customers; own documentation, SDKs, the developer sandbox, authentication and onboarding.
• Govern the data access layer: partner with Information Security on authentication (OAuth 2.1, SAML/OIDC), rate limiting, entitlement enforcement and audit logging; aim for zero critical data‑exposure incidents.
• Shape the commercial model: work with Commercial, Finance and Legal to define packaging, pricing and monetisation of API and MCP access, build usage‑analytics infrastructure and deliver quarterly ecosystem scorecards.

What We’re Looking For

• API & Platform Product Ownership experience, especially for products serving external partners.
• Technical fluency with REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication standards, webhooks, SDKs and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Awareness of the Model Context Protocol and the AI agent ecosystem (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
• Comfort with large structured datasets, data quality, lineage and entitlement in a subscription or SaaS environment.
• Commercial acumen in packaging, pricing and usage‑based models.
• Governance & security mindset; partnership with security and engineering on access control, rate limiting and audit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Agile delivery experience as a product owner; CSPO or equivalent certification an advantage.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the first year, you will have published a single documented API & MCP interface contract adopted across priority data domains, grown active integrations and developer registrations against targets, established governance and audit frameworks, and launched a live commercial model for API access.

Benefits

Salary range: $175,000 – $205,000, based on experience and qualifications.
